In France it is very typical to make beverages using sparkling water like Perrier. Not only refreshing, but the bubbles have a fun kick.
Charlotte is gearing up for a week of 100 degree weather. I plan to keep cool with a little summer in my glass: Perrier Limonata
Ingredients
Simple Syrup
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup Perrier (to make syrup)
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 cups Perrier
Garnish
Lemon slices, lime twists, rosemary sprigs
Directions
Make simple syrup using sugar and 1/2 cup Perrier in a small saucepan, and heat over medium-high heat until the sugar is completely dissolved, about four minutes. Pour into a glass or a small pitcher and chill completely in refrigerator or freezer.
When chilled, mix simple syrup with lemon juice and divide between two tall glasses. Add 1 cup
cold Perrier to each glass, decorate with a pretty garnish of your choice, and serve.

For extra fun, you can spike with a shot of limoncello.
